Blackberry store opens up in the US, Oh Canada where are you?

The world’s first Blackberry store open up last week in the United States, and of all places Farmington Hills, Mich., a suburb of Detroit, due to a high-income potential of users in the area. This is a pilot project between Waterloo-based Research in Motion, the maker of the popular Blackberry devices and retail chain Wireless Giant, and no official plans of any future stores.
Smart move on Rim’s part as we’ve seen the success that Apple has had over the years with their retain stores across both the US and Canada, but what happened to opening a location in Canada where the device originated from?
Farmington Hills is apparently known as an affluent centre of Detroit, and has a population just over 83,000 where the average family income is $85,000 US, but what happened to financial centers such as Toronto, Canada? You can’t walk down Toronto’s financial district of Bay Street without seeing about 3 out of 5 “suits” checking their email on a RIM device.
