If everything goes as planned for Research In Motion (RIM), they will be the ultimate comeback kid of the mobile industry. Having played second fiddle to Apple and Google smartphones for the last few years RIM is putting all their eggs on not only new devices, but a new operating system called Blackberry 10. Today they have announced that the Blackberry 10 will be unveiled on January 13, 2013 simultaneously at multiple locations.

Over the last few months pre-launch or beta devices have surfaced, we had a chance to use one last week and it looks pretty good. RIM’s CEO Thorsten Heins has stated in public that there will be a model with the keyboard, and they will not abandon one of the key things that devoted Blackberry users love about the device.
