Bell Brings The Movie Network To A Computer Screen Near You

bellcanadaStreaming video continues to be a dominate channel for people to consume video especially as high-speed internet connections continue to offer customers faster download access. Bell is looking to take advantage of this opportunity as they’ve announced the availability of TMN Online (The Movie Network) to Bell high-speed customers who have also subscribed to TMN.

“The Bell TV Online portal is a rich value-added service for Bell TV subscribers. By working with Astral Media to deliver TMN Online, customers can get movies and shows on demand with the convenience of watching on their computer or laptop wherever they can access the Internet,” said Kevin Crull, President of Bell Residential Services. “As the first TV provider to offer this service in Canada, we are once again proving Bell TV is the most advanced TV service available with unbeatable value and entertainment choice for subscribers.”

Will Bell become the first media company in Canada to offer us true convergence? I wouldn’t be surprised if we see Bell launch streaming media of its digital TV and movie content to Bell mobile devices, especially now that they have their new wireless network which will come online sometime in November.
