I still remember the days of my Commodore 64 and my 300 baud modem, now that’s old school. I spent hours at a time in online chat rooms and playing video games. Well the computers are faster, I’m not a big video game player and replaced the chat rooms for instant messenger, but I’m as much addicted to the Internet as I was then. Teenagers across Canada have a whole new set of ways to consume their time online, they now have online video games, and a host of social media sites such as MySpace, Face Book and Second Life to choose from. Which is no wonder why according to comScore Canadians spend the most amount of time online compared to any other country in the world.

This is good news for advertisers right? Absolutely, as long as clients and agencies can develop campaings and use technology to keep the audience’s attention. Microsoft or Sympatico/ MSN here in Canada still continues to be the dominate destination where people spend their time online
