David Purdy Exits Rogers, Heads To Vice Media

VICE Media announced its next hire, and this one is a big one as they have appointed David Purdy to the newly created role of Chief International Growth Officer. In the new role David will focus on growing global distribution for the network network to deliver programming to all screens.

David will initially be based out of of VICE’s Toronto office working with Canadian Managing Director Ryan Archibald and will report directly to Co-Presidents Andrew Creighton and James Schwab.  David had been a long time Rogers employee having joined the organization in 2000 as Director, Interactive TV. He had been promoted to roles such as Senior Director Digital Television Products, Vice President & General Manager, Cable TV and most recently Senior Vice President, Content.

He also played a key role in the recent multiplatform partnership between VICE and Rogers.  VICE is backed by Disney, A+E Networks, 21st Century Fox and Technology Crossover Ventures.
