QMI AgencyNews came out yesterday internally that Postmedia Network shut the doors on its QMI Agency, the news wire service the company recently acquired from Quebecor.  Fortunately the move does not impact a great deal of the staff, and said to only effect a total of 10 individuals, 9 full-time and 1 part-time.

The service was first launched back in 2010 as a way to feed stories between Postmedia newspapers as they looked to move away from The Canadian Press.

Expect more to come from Postmedia in the coming months
