Vancouver’s oldest and most distinguished place branding firms, Ion Brand Design and Herrainco Brand Strategy + Design, announced their formal merger this week. The company will operate as Ion Brand Design.
Collectively, the two agencies have worked with almost every municipality in the Lower Mainland as well as some of B.C. biggest international destination brands, such as Burrowing Owl Winery, Chateau Whistler, Vancouver Art Gallery, Rocky Mountaineer, BC Golf Museum and Tourism Vancouver. Together, Ion and Herrainco offer more than 45 years of experience—a breadth of expertise very rare in the design and branding industry—and have won over 200 awards combined.

The decision to unite was reached after several years of converging specializations in place branding and destination marketing, and was based on Ion and Herrainco’s shared vision to facilitate progressive change through the creation of more livable communities.
