Submitted by on June 17, 2011 – 10:40 am

Torstar continues to expand its digital footprint, their latest move is the launch of Winefox.ca. This new site wants to be a fun and informative website for people interested in wine, from the quietly curious to the passionate connoisseur.

One of the features of Winefox.ca is a collection of reviews and articles by some of Canada’s most knowledgeable wine experts, including Jennifer Huether and John Szabo, two of only three Master Sommeliers in the country. As well, Winefox.ca will carry celebrity interviews, recipes, travel content and five weekly blogs, all focused on the world of wine.

“The goal of Winefox.ca is to be Canada’s go-to destination for anyone interested in wine, whether they want to share, learn and discuss wine, build their personal wine profiles and online cellars, or simply find a wine to take to their next dinner party,” says Dean Ostilly, General Manager of Winefox, a subsidiary of Torstar Corporation.

Entertaining how-to video clips, hosted by wine expert David Farnell, cover topics such as how to master the art of pouring wine, decanting and ordering from daunting restaurant wine lists. Helpful service articles contain expert tips and tricks, such as this summer’s top five patio wines and killer corkscrews for the budding oenophile. Plus, links on the site allow users to gain access to wine experiences, gear and once-in-a-lifetime getaways.
