Citytv Launches CityNews Apple iPad and iPhone App

Citytv recently launched their CityNews app for iPad and iPhone, which deliver  the latest in local news, weather, sports and traffic for consumers in the Toronto area. The app is free to download and use, and is supported by advertising, it can be downloaded at www.itunes.ca/appstore/.

“How Torontonians are interacting with local news is evolving,” said Andrea Gagliardi, General Manager and Director, TV Web, Rogers Digital Media. “The CityNews app delivers meaningful and interactive access to local news stories while on the go and as they are developing, including breaking news, user generated content, videos, sharing and maps.”

Users can also share their own stories and breaking news in their communities via their mobile device with the CityNews room by uploading videos, photos, news tips and stories. Other features include local weather information, a map view of the news as it unfolds across of the GTA and the ability to share content from the app using social media.
